What is the Career Lab
The Career Lab is IATH's educational laboratory dedicated to career guidance, professional development and preparation for study and employment opportunities. It helps students review their journey, recognise what they have learned and present it more clearly.
It is more than a space for reviewing a CV or practising an interview. It combines practical activities, simulations, formative feedback and digital tools to transform experiences, skills and goals into a development journey.
The student remains at the centre. AI supports the analysis of materials and communication, while teachers and tutors define the context, review the results and guide the educational feedback process.
An applied experience
An educational lab for preparing for work
Preparing for the professional world requires more than theoretical knowledge. It means being able to recognise one's skills, connect them with completed experiences and communicate them clearly during a meeting, application or interview.
The Career Lab creates a space in which students can practise before facing real situations. They can test themselves, observe how they present their experience, receive feedback and repeat the activity with greater awareness.
The laboratory complements the IATH learning journey with an applied experience. It does not promise a definitive answer about a student's professional future, but provides a method for preparing, reflecting and choosing the next steps.
An integrated system
What the Career Lab brings together
The Career Lab is not a single tool. It is an integrated experience connecting information about the student's journey, simulation activities, assisted analysis and dialogue with teachers and tutors.
Profile and goals
Experience, education, skills, interests and professional goals are organised in a structured profile. This provides a clear basis for the CV, the interview and the discussion with the tutor.
Practice and simulation
Students practise through presentations, simulated questions and video interviews. The exercise allows them to experiment in a setting that is close to reality, while remaining protected and focused on learning.
Assisted analysis
Digital tools observe concrete elements of text, voice and video. They organise the available information and produce an initial set of observations, without assigning labels or making judgements about the person.
Feedback and improvement
The teacher or tutor reads, reviews and contextualises the report. The results are transformed into practical suggestions, exercises and actions for the next step.
The value comes from the relationship between these elements: the materials describe the starting point, the simulation makes communication observable, the analysis organises the observations and the tutor turns them into learning.

Technology facilitates the collection and analysis of materials, but it does not define the student's value. AI works on observable elements and prepares a working basis that must be read and reviewed by a person.
It observes concrete elements
The analysis concerns the structure of the content, clarity of the answers, speaking pace, pauses and other communication elements available in the materials.
It proposes insights, not decisions
The system generates observations and suggestions for improvement. It does not decide which career a student should follow, assign suitability or produce rankings.
It remains under human control
Teachers and tutors can review, supplement or edit the report before using it in the formative feedback session with the student.
The quality of the journey does not depend only on the technical capabilities of the platform, but on the combination of methodology, educational context and human dialogue.

The Career Lab works through distinct and complementary roles. The student takes part in the activities, the tutor manages the process and the platform supports collection and analysis.

A laboratory connected to the IATH learning journey
The Career Lab is embedded in the IATH learning environment and can use situations, roles and language related to tourism and hospitality. This makes exercises more practical and consistent with the experiences students may encounter during internships, interviews and activities with companies.
