Objectives and vision
The Career Lab was created to support students in building a more informed professional pathway. It does not start from a predefined role, but from the experiences, skills, interests and goals that each student brings.
The lab helps students organise these elements, communicate them more clearly and turn them into concrete actions: improving a CV, preparing for an interview, identifying areas for development and approaching internships and professional opportunities with a more structured method.
Technology supports the pathway, but does not make decisions on behalf of people. Teachers and tutors guide the experience, interpret the results and work with the student to provide feedback that is useful, contextualised and focused on improvement.
A vision centred on growth
Professional development is not a single choice and does not end with the immediate search for a job. It is a progressive process: understanding what you can do, recognising what can be strengthened, learning how to describe yourself and testing your abilities in concrete situations.
The Career Lab's vision is to create a protected environment in which students can experiment, receive feedback and improve without being reduced to a score, a label or an automated decision.

The objectives of the Career Lab
The Career Lab translates this vision into concrete learning objectives. The pathway helps students to:
- recognise and describe skills, experiences and professional interests more precisely;
- connect their studies and completed activities with their career goals;
- improve the quality of their CV, personal presentation and interview answers;
- identify strengths and aspects to develop, without turning them into judgements about the person;
- prepare more systematically for internships, interviews, selection processes and meetings with companies;
- define realistic next steps to continue developing independently.
The objective is not to build a perfect profile, but to help each student understand their starting point more clearly and choose how to improve.
From awareness to employability
Employability is not only about securing a first job. It is the ability to navigate the labour market, make the most of what you can do, update your skills and adapt to different opportunities and contexts.
The Career Lab works through three connected steps.
Learning by doing
The Career Lab is a learning laboratory. Growth therefore takes place not only through theoretical content, but above all through practical activities, simulations and opportunities for discussion.
Completing a profile form, reviewing a CV, recording a video interview or answering simulated questions allows students to observe how they communicate in a situation that is close to reality.
A mistake is not treated as a shortcoming, but as useful information. Each exercise helps identify what works, what could be made clearer and which activity could support the next step.
Technology supporting learning
Digital tools and artificial intelligence help collect, organise and analyse the information produced during the lab. They can observe concrete elements of text, voice and video and generate an initial basis for feedback.
This output is not the final result. It supports the work of teachers and tutors, who review the content, place it in context and decide how to use it in formative feedback.
Technology does not:
- decide which career a student should pursue;
- decide whether a person is suitable or unsuitable for a role;
- assign grades, rankings or suitability scores;
- replace discussion with a teacher or tutor;
- turn an observation about communication into a judgement about the person.
The role of teachers and tutors
Teachers and tutors remain central throughout the pathway. Their role is not merely technical: they support the student, define the context of the activity and turn observations into guidance that is understandable and applicable.
More specifically, teachers and tutors:
- help students clarify the objectives of the pathway;
- prepare and organise the laboratory activities;
- read and verify the results produced by digital tools;
- place the feedback in the context of the student's experiences and needs;
- identify exercises, further learning and next steps;
- ensure that feedback remains constructive, transparent and non-judgemental.
The educational value comes from this human oversight: the platform organises information, while the relationship helps students understand and use it.
From the lab to expected outcomes
Every Career Lab activity is connected to an observable learning outcome. The pathway does not promise immediate transformation, but creates concrete conditions for improvement over time.

What the Career Lab is not intended to be
To remain consistent with its educational purpose, the Career Lab is not used as a tool for automated selection or student classification.
The Career Lab does not:
- produce rankings among students;
- assign labels relating to personality or individual potential;
- automatically determine the most suitable job for a person;
- replace the professional judgement of teachers, tutors or companies;
- provide students with results that have not been reviewed and placed in context.
The lab focuses on development, not selection. Observations are used to help students prepare more effectively, not to establish a definitive judgement.

The expected result is neither a perfect performance nor a professional profile defined once and for all. It is a student who is better able to understand their pathway, communicate what they have learned and choose the next steps with greater awareness.
